Method

Pork Chops Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Broiler

Preheat your broiler to high heat to prepare for cooking the pork chops.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork Chops

Rub the pork chops with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Make sure to coat both sides evenly.

  3. 3

    Broil the Pork Chops

Place the seasoned pork chops on a broiler pan. Broil for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Pork Chops

Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Applesauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Apples

Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.

  2. 6

    Cook the Apples

In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft.

  3. 7

    Mash the Apples

Use a fork or potato masher to mash the cooked apples to your desired consistency. For smoother applesauce, you can use an immersion blender.

  4. 8

    Serve

Serve the warm applesauce alongside the broiled pork chops.
