Pork Chops

Lemon Butter Oregano Sauce

Method

Preparing the Pork Chops

  1. 1

    Preheat the Broiler

Set your oven's broiler to high and allow it to preheat for at least 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork Chops

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Making the Lemon Butter Oregano Sauce

  1. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it is fully liquid.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the fresh lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and black pepper to the melted butter. Whisk together until well combined.

Broiling the Pork Chops

  1. 5

    Arrange the Pork Chops

Place the seasoned pork chops on a broiler-safe pan or baking sheet. Make sure they are spaced out evenly.

  2. 6

    Broil the Chops

Brush the lemon butter oregano sauce generously over the pork chops. Place them under the broiler and cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side.

  3. 7

    Flip and Continue Broiling

After 5-7 minutes, flip the pork chops and brush with additional sauce. Broil for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Serving

  1. 8

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Serve with any remaining lemon butter oregano sauce drizzled on top.
