Main Ingredients

For Sauteed Onions

Method

Preparation of Chopped Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the chopped steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Broiler

Set your oven's broiler to high and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Broil the Steak

Place the seasoned chopped steak on a broiler pan. Broil for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip it and broil for another 3-4 minutes, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Preparation of Sauteed Onions

  1. 4

    Slice the Onion

Peel the onion and slice it thinly into rings.

  2. 5

    Saute the Onions

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the chopped steak topped with the sautéed onions.
