Method

Preparing the Pork Tenderloin

  1. 1

    Trim and Season the Pork

Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin. Pat dry with paper towels. Season all sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. 2

    Sear the Pork

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the seasoned pork tenderloin and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Breading the Pork

  1. 3

    Prepare Breading Stations

Set up three shallow dishes: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  2. 4

    Bread the Pork

Dredge the seared pork tenderloin in the flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking the Pork

  1. 5

    Fry the Pork

In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the breaded pork tenderloin in the skillet. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F).

  2. 6

    Drain and Rest

Once cooked, transfer the pork to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 7

    Toast the Kaiser Rolls

While the pork is resting, split the kaiser rolls and toast them lightly in the oven or on a skillet until golden.

  2. 8

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted kaiser roll, place a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and then top with slices of the breaded pork tenderloin. Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the roll and place it on top to complete the sandwich.
