Breaded Cheddar Curds
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Coat the Cheddar Curds
Dredge each cheddar curd in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
- 4
Fry the Curds
Carefully place the breaded cheddar curds into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried curds from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
