Panna Cotta Ingredients
Method
Panna Cotta Directions
- 1
Prepare the Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 3 tablespoons of cold water. Let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
- 2
Heat the Cream
In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- 3
Add Gelatin and Flavorings
Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved. Add the crème de menthe, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
- 4
Chill the Mixture
Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or ramekins. Allow to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- 5
Prepare the Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add melted white chocolate while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 6
Serve
Once the panna cotta is set, top each with the white chocolate whipped cream. Garnish with additional crème de menthe if desired. Enjoy!
