Escargot Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushroom Mixture

In a skillet over medium heat, melt half of the butter (1/2 cup). Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are tender and any liquid has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add Herbs and Wine

Add the white wine, chopped parsley, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the mixture to simmer and reduce slightly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Prepare Escargot

If you're using canned escargot, rinse them under cold water and pat dry. If using fresh escargot, ensure they are cleaned and prepped according to your preference.

  4. 4

    Combine and Bake

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, place the escargot and spoon the mushroom mixture over them. Dot the remaining butter over the top. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with crusty bread to soak up the delicious herbed white wine butter.
