Tiramisu Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee Mixture

In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso and Bailey's Irish Cream. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Mascarpone Mixture

In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and creamy. Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Whip the Cream

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Tiramisu

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  5. 5

    Chill and Serve

Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
