Prepare the Rice

Rinse the Rice
Place the rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved and set aside.
Stir Fry the Vegetables

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

Add Sauce
Pour the sauce over the stir-fried vegetables and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve

Plate the Dish
