Preparing the Coffee Mixture

    Brew the Espresso

    Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and allow it to cool slightly.

    Dissolve Sugar

    Stir 1 tablespoon of sugar into the warm espresso until fully dissolved.

Making the Cream Filling

    Whisk Egg Yolks

    In a bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.

    Add Mascarpone

    Fold in 500 grams of mascarpone cheese until smooth and well combined.

    Whip the Cream

    In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

    Combine Mixtures

    Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Assembling the Tiramisu

    Dip Ladyfingers

    Quickly dip 24 ladyfingers into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

    Layer the Base

    Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a rectangular dish.

    Spread Cream Filling

    Spread half of the mascarpone cream filling over the layer of ladyfingers.

    Repeat Layers

    Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream filling.

Finishing Touches

    Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

    Dust with Cocoa

    Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
