- 2
Make the Egg Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper until well combined.
- 3
Cook the Omelet
In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and allow it to cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges begin to set.
- 4
Add Sausage and Cheese
Once the omelet is partially set, add the cooked sausage and 50 grams of shredded cheddar cheese to one half of the omelet. Carefully fold the other half over the filling.
- 5
Finish Cooking
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through. Slide onto a plate and keep warm.
Sausage Gravy
- 6
Cook the Sausage
In a saucepan over medium heat, cook 200 grams of sausage until browned. Break it into small pieces as it cooks.
- 7
Make the Roux
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the cooked sausage and stir well to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
- 8
Add Milk
Gradually add 2 cups of milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- 9
Season the Gravy
Stir in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
