Steak Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Bring Steak to Room Temperature

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then generously season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Add Fresh Herbs

Sprinkle fresh rosemary on both sides of the steaks for added flavor.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  2. 5

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.

  3. 6

    Flip the Steaks

Using tongs, flip the steaks and grill for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.

  4. 7

    Add Butter

In the last minute of grilling, add a tablespoon of butter on top of each steak to melt and enhance the flavor.

Resting and Serving

  1. 8

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  2. 9

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your choice of optional sides like grilled vegetables or mashed potatoes.
