Method
Prepare the Mushrooms
- 1
Breading Process
- 2
Set Up Breading Stations
In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour in the first, beat the eggs in the second, and combine the breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third.
- 3
Bread the Mushrooms
Dip each mushroom into the flour, coating it evenly. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Set aside on a plate.
Frying
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of bread into it; if it sizzles and browns quickly, it’s ready.
- 5
Prepare Ranch Dressing
- 6
Mix Ranch Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.
Serve
- 7
Plate the Dish
Serve the fried mushrooms hot on a plate with a side of the homemade ranch dressing for dipping.
