Fried Clam Strips

Prepare Clam Strips
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry Clam Strips
Fry the clam strips in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Prepare Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

In a separate pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the potato strips in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

Shred the green cabbage and grate the carrots using a box grater or food processor.

In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Add the shredded cabbage and grated carrots to the dressing, mixing until all vegetables are well coated. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
