Pork Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them rest for 15 minutes.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Pork
Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Set aside.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Pork
Carefully add the breaded pork chops to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Gravy Preparation
- 6
- 7
Add Flour
Whisk in the flour, cooking for about 2 minutes until lightly browned.
- 8
Add Broth and Seasonings
Slowly add the chicken broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Stir in salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- 9
Serve
Serve the crispy fried pork chops topped generously with the homemade gravy.
