Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 4
Add Vanilla
Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- 6
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 7
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 8
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 9
Cool and Cut
Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares.
