Method
Cooking the Burger
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove and drain on paper towels.
- 2
Cook the Burger Patty
In the same skillet, use the bacon fat to cook the steak burger patty. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and add the cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
Preparing the Fries
- 3
Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake for the recommended time until golden and crispy, usually 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with salt before serving.
Making the Coleslaw
- 4
Combine the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- 5
Chill the Slaw
Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Assembling the Burger
- 6
Layer the Burger
Slice the burger bun in half. Place the cooked burger patty on the bottom half, followed by the crispy bacon, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
