Method
Preparing Regular Potato Fries

Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

Drain and Season
Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
