Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Gently clean the fresh mushrooms with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and set aside for later use. Brush the mushroom caps with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

Seafood Stuffing

  1. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, lemon juice, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Take the prepared mushroom caps and fill each with the seafood stuffing mixture, pressing down gently to ensure they are packed well.

Topping

  1. 5

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs, chopped parsley, and melted butter. Mix until the bread crumbs are evenly coated in butter.

  2. 6

    Top the Stuffed Mushrooms

Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture generously over each stuffed mushroom.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.

  2. 8

    Serve

Remove the stuffed mushrooms from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
