Muddle the Sugar
In an old fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and add the Angostura bitters. Muddle together until the sugar is dissolved.

Add Bourbon
Pour the bourbon over the muddled sugar and bitters mixture.

Add Ice
Add ice cubes to the glass, gently stirring to chill the drink.

Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and then drop it in. Add the maraschino cherry for garnish.
