Turkey Burger

Sweet Potato Fries

Method

Turkey Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  4. 4

    Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill (or skillet) to medium-high heat. Brush the grill with olive oil. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

On a burger bun, place the turkey patty with melted Swiss cheese, top with crispy bacon, onion rings, and drizzle BBQ sauce. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Sweet Potato Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare Sweet Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into thin fries.

  2. 8

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 9

    Bake the Fries

Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
