In a small saucepan, combine the canned baked beans, brown sugar, mustard, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes.

In a saucepan, bring the beef broth to a simmer. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Gradually stir the slurry into the simmering broth until thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt.

Fry the Onion Strings
Fry the onion rings in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Remove them and drain on paper towels.
