Add-ins
Method
Prepare the Batter
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- 2
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cook the Pancakes
- 4
Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little butter.
- 5
Pour the Batter
Using a ladle, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- 6
Add Your Choice of Add-ins
If you are making blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes, sprinkle the blueberries or chocolate chips on top of the pancake batter once it starts to bubble.
- 7
Flip the Pancake
Cook until the edges are set and bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
- 8
Serve
Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. If using Nutella, spread it on top of the pancakes just before serving. Serve the pancakes warm with maple syrup.
