Method

Croutons

  1. 1

    Prepare the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

Cut the bread slices into cubes and place them in a large bowl.

  3. 3

Drizzle the olive oil over the bread cubes, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  4. 4

Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  5. 5

Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through.

Dressing

  1. 6

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium bowl, mash the anchovy fillets and minced garlic together with a fork until smooth.

  2. 7

Add the egg yolk, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until well combined.

  3. 8

Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is creamy and emulsified.

  4. 9

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.

Salad Assembly

  1. 10

    Assemble the Salad

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 11

Add the croutons to the lettuce.

  3. 12

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

  4. 13

Shave the Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad.

  5. 14

    Serve immediately.
