Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal patties.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 3
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each toasted bun, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, and then add slices of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 6
Fry the Potatoes
In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil and salt. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
