Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making them slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembling the Burgers

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Preparing the Chips

  1. 6

    Slice the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them into thin wedges or strips.

  2. 7

    Fry the Chips

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the potato slices in batches and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  3. 8

    Season the Chips

Sprinkle the fried chips with salt to taste.
