Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and chopped dill. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the fish.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 200°C). Make sure the grill grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent the salmon from sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Close the lid and grill for about 6-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.

  3. 5

    Check for Doneness

Using a spatula, gently lift one fillet to check for doneness. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork. If it's still translucent, continue grilling for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

    Serve

Once cooked to your liking, remove the salmon from the grill. Let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.
