Method
Beef Patty Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into 2 equal portions and form each into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent puffing during cooking.
Homemade Burger Bun Preparation

Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 4
Make the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 5
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 6
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 7
Shape the Buns
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 2 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a round bun and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 8
Second Rise
Cover the buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- 9
Bake the Buns
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
