Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to tear them too much; you want to release the flavor without shredding the leaves.

  2. 2

    Add the Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass, discarding the halves afterward. Stir gently to combine the muddled mint, sugar, and lime juice.

  3. 3

    Add the Rum

Pour in the white rum and stir the mixture gently to combine all the ingredients together.

  4. 4

    Add Ice and Club Soda

Fill the glass with ice cubes up to the top. Then pour the club soda over the ice, stirring gently to combine.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a mint sprig on top for presentation. Serve immediately with a straw.
