    Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a large bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

    Combine Wet Ingredients

    In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

    Combine Mixtures

    Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

    Pour into Baking Dish

    Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

    Bake

    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Once baked, remove from oven and let cool completely in the dish.

Frosting

    Prepare Frosting

    In a medium bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing well.

    Add Milk and Vanilla

    Add milk and vanilla extract to the frosting mixture. Beat until smooth and spreadable.

    Frost the Dessert

    Once the base has cooled, evenly spread the frosting over the top of the dessert.
