Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Candied Walnuts

If using store-bought candied walnuts, skip this step. Otherwise, to make your own, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread 1 cup of walnuts on a baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes or until fragrant. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and ¼ cup of water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then add the toasted walnuts. Stir to coat, then spread them back onto the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden. Let cool.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Dish

On a serving plate, slice or crumble the Point Reyes Farm Bleu Cheese. Drizzle the ginger-infused honey generously over the cheese. Scatter the candied walnuts on top or around the cheese for added texture and flavor.

  3. 3

    Serve

Serve immediately as an appetizer or dessert with some crackers or fresh fruit to complement the flavors.
