Roasting the Beef

1. Prepare the Beef

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Season the beef roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring it's evenly coated.

2. Roast the Beef

Place the seasoned beef roast on a roasting rack in a baking dish. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.

3. Rest the Beef

Once cooked, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Assemble the Sandwiches

Thinly slice the rested roast beef against the grain to achieve tender slices.

5. Prepare the Bread

Take the slices of whole wheat bread and lay them out on a clean surface.

On half of the bread slices, layer the sliced beef, followed by a handful of lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, horseradish sauce, and mustard.
