For the Mozzarella Sticks
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Cheese
Take the mozzarella sticks out of the freezer and let them sit for about 10 minutes to slightly soften.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Mozzarella Sticks
Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure they are well coated, and repeat the process for all sticks.
- 4
Freeze the Coated Sticks
Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze them for at least 30 minutes. This helps prevent the cheese from melting too quickly while frying.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Mozzarella Sticks
Carefully lower the frozen mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
