Directions
Prepare the Burger Patty
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form it into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
Cook the Burger Patty
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place the American cheese on top of the patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer the pulled pork, the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy fried onions, and bacon. Drizzle BBQ sauce on top and cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve
Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
