Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the haddock fillet under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season the fillet with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine the cornmeal with a pinch of salt.

  3. 3

    Bread the Fish

Dip the seasoned haddock fillet first into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the cornmeal mixture.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Fish

Carefully add the breaded haddock fillet to the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Sandwich

Slice the bulkie rolls in half. Layer lettuce, slices of tomato, onion, pickles, and the fried haddock on the bottom half. Top with tartar sauce and cover with the top half of the roll.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the fish sandwiches warm with extra tartar sauce on the side.
