Crispy Brussels Sprouts
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preparing the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half.
- 2
Seasoning the Brussels Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Roasting the Brussels Sprouts
Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and browned, tossing halfway through.
- 4
Making the Garlic Aioli
While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the garlic aioli. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- 5
Making the Balsamic Reduction
In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened and reduced by half. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 6
Serving
Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven. Drizzle with balsamic reduction and serve with garlic aioli on the side.
