Sliders and Mac & Cheese Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Mac & Cheese

In a large pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until the sauce is thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.

  3. 3

    Combine Macaroni and Cheese Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sliders

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sliders

Place a portion of the cooked beef on each slider bun. Add pickles, ketchup, and mustard if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the sliders warm alongside a generous helping of the creamy mac & cheese.
