Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Mushrooms
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Cook the Bacon
In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5 minutes. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
3. Form the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into 2 equal portions and shape into patties.
4. Cook the Burgers
In the skillet with some bacon drippings (or additional olive oil if needed), cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
5. Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted Swiss, sautéed mushrooms, and crispy bacon. Top with tomato slices and your choice of condiments. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
