Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Pork

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Add the pork tenderloin and ensure it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Sear the Pork

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the reserved marinade and red wine. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Pork

Return the pork to the skillet and cover. Cook for another 15-20 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  5. 5

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add it to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning with salt if necessary.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the pork and serve it drizzled with the sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions.
