Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add crushed San Marzano tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  2. 2

    Cook the Gnocchi

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the gnocchi. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Toast the Walnuts

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the walnuts for 5-7 minutes until fragrant. Chop roughly after cooling.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the cooked gnocchi with the tomato sauce. Add fresh basil leaves and toasted walnuts. Mix gently.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the gnocchi and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
