Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

2

Prepare the Cod

Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Dip each fillet into the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the beer batter, allowing the excess to drip off.

3

Coat with Panko

Roll the battered cod fillets in panko bread crumbs until fully coated. Set aside on a plate.

4

Fry the Cod

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated cod fillets in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

5

Cook the Fries

While the cod is frying, prepare the frozen fries according to package instructions, either in the oven or deep fryer.

6

Serve

Plate the fried cod fillets alongside the fries and coleslaw. Serve with tartar sauce on the side.
