Method

Make the Pancakes

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.

Mix Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Prepare Cooking Surface

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.

Cook Pancakes

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown.

Finish Cooking

Repeat with remaining batter.

Cook Eggs and Meat

Cook Meat

Cook the bacon, sausage, or ham in a skillet over medium heat until crispy or cooked through.

Cook Eggs

In the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook them to your liking (scrambled, fried, etc.).

Serve

Assemble Plate

Plate two pancakes, top with fruit topping, a dusting of powdered sugar, and drizzle with maple syrup.

Serve alongside cooked eggs and meat.
