Marinate the Bread

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Place the sliced bread in the mixture, ensuring each slice is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Cook the French Toast

The next morning, heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, add the marinated bread slices to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve

Serve the French toast topped with the fruit topping of the day, a dusting of powdered sugar, and with 100% maple syrup on the side.
