Muddle the Mint
In a tall glass, muddle the fresh mint leaves gently to release their oils.

Add the Ingredients
Pour in the dark rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and dashes of Angostura bitters.

Fill with Ice
Fill the glass with crushed ice almost to the top.

Swizzle
Using a swizzle stick or a bar spoon, stir the mixture from the bottom to the top to combine the ingredients and chill the drink.
