Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Make the Horseradish Creme

In a small bowl, mix the horseradish with sour cream until well combined. Set aside.

2

Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the beef broth and bring it to a simmer. Use a whisk to combine in any drippings from the cooked prime rib if available. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.

3

Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Layer the shaved prime rib on the bottom half, then top with white cheddar cheese and haystack onions.

4

Grill the Sandwich

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwich on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.

5

Serve

Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately with a side of au jus for dipping.

6

Prepare the Chips

Serve your favorite chips on the side, or make homemade potato chips by slicing potatoes thinly, frying them until golden, and seasoning with salt.
