Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (about 0.5 pounds each) and gently shape them into loose balls. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2

Cook the Patties

Heat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the beef balls onto the skillet and use a spatula to smash them down into thin patties. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip.

3

Add Cheese

Immediately after flipping, place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

4

Toast the Buns

While the patties are finishing, melt butter in a separate pan over medium heat. Place the brioche buns cut-side down and toast until golden brown.

5

Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the tomato slice and onion rings. Add the cheeseburger patties on top and finish with the top half of the bun.
