Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together black bean sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

Cook the Vegetables
In a large pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and green pepper, and sauté until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Prawns
Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.

Incorporate Water Chestnuts
Stir in the sliced water chestnuts and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the Sauce
Pour the prepared sauce over the prawn mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serve the prawn with lobster sauce hot over steamed rice.
