Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips. Chop the yellow onion and green bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, black pepper, and salt. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved.

  5. 5

    Combine Everything

Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce has thickened and the beef is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the pepper steak hot over cooked rice or noodles.
