Tofu and Coating
Method
Frying the Tofu
- 1
Prepare the Tofu
Drain the firm tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- 2
Coat the Tofu
In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 4
Fry the Tofu
Carefully add the coated tofu cubes to the hot oil in a single layer. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 5
Drain the Tofu
Once crispy, remove the tofu from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 6
Serve
Serve the golden fried tofu hot with pot sticker sauce for dipping.
