Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking log mold or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Cream the Butter and Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla

Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Dry Ingredients into Wet

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

    Fold in Nuts

Gently fold in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  7. 7

    Bake the Log

Pour the batter into the prepared log mold and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool and Dust

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the mold for about 10 minutes. Then, remove the log from the mold and let it cool completely on a wire rack. Before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar.
